Tickets

Can I still buy tickets?

Yes! You can buy tickets for the convention at any time, either in advance or on the door when you arrive at the show. However, some ticket types may sell out quickly so make sure to get yours in advance to avoid missing out!

What does my convention ticket include?

Your ticket includes entrance to the Thought Bubble comic convention on the dates specified on your ticket (weekend tickets are for Saturday & Sunday access, Saturday tickets & Sunday tickets are valid only for those respective days). Included in that ticket price is access to the exhibition floors with over 500 exhibitors and guests as well as panels, workshops, children’s activities and our cosplay masquerade. Check out our full lineup of convention events, this year’s guests and exhibitors for more information.

Do I get access to festival events with my convention ticket?

Events during the festival week before the convention, aren’t included in your convention ticket. However, most of these events are free! Some do require booking in advance so please check out the event page for more details. You can find out about all our amazing festival events here.

What’s the difference between a normal ticket and a cosplay ticket?

If you are purchasing a cosplay ticket, you’ll need to attend the convention in cosplay for the ticket to be valid. Otherwise please purchase a regular convention ticket. You don’t need to make your own costume! Every cosplayer is welcome, although please read our cosplay guidelines before planning your outfit.

What’s the difference between a normal ticket and a Friends of Thought Bubble ticket?

Friends of Thought Bubble is our inclusive members programme that includes a huge goodie bag of exclusive merchandise and prints as well as a free convention ticket. Friends of Thought Bubble was created to help fund our regular outreach work, so your money goes towards this important work. Membership can be purchased for 1, 2 or 3 years. Find out more about Friends of Thought Bubble here.

How can I join Friends of Thought Bubble?

Thank you for your interest in joining Friends of Thought Bubble! You can buy your membership on the Tickets page.

I am eligible for a free ticket. How do I book and collect it?

Our free tickets for under 12s, over 65s and support workers are easy to collect! You can either book them in advance with your other tickets or turn up at the Thought Bubble convention and collect them on the door. Under 12s will need to be accompanied by a ticket-holding adult and over 65s will need to bring proof of age, whether you book online or on the door.

Do you provide free tickets for support workers?

Yes we do! As with our other free tickets, you can either book your support worker’s ticket in advance when you buy your own ticket turn up at the Thought Bubble convention and collect it on the door. Support workers; please bring proof of your role if possible, although we recognise that often support work is unpaid and provided by family and friends; so please don’t worry if you don’t have “official” identification with you.

Can I buy advance tickets in person?

Yes! Our partner comic book store Travelling Man has advance tickets available to buy in person at all of their branches: Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle and York.

Can I buy tickets on the door at the weekend?

Absolutely; you can buy tickets at any time for the Thought Bubble convention. However, some ticket types may sell out so we recommend buying in advance to avoid disappointment!

Will there be a queue for tickets on the door?

At certain times of the day, yes. Especially in the mornings there can be large queues. It may get quieter later on in the day, but if you would like to avoid queuing it may be worth buying your ticket in advance. Please note that there will also be a short wait in a queue to collect wristbands for advance tickets on the door; however this queue moves very quickly thanks to our speedy and efficient volunteers!

Do you accept card payments on the door?

Yes.

Who do I talk to if I have a query about my online ticket booking?

If your question isn’t answered in this FAQ, please email us at info@thoughtbubblefestival.com. Our other FAQs may also have the answer to your question.

Who do I talk to about buying group tickets?

For regular group tickets, please use the normal ticketing system to purchase. Certain special groups (charity-run groups, children’s groups and support groups) may be eligible under our outreach programme for discounted tickets. If you believe your group falls under one of these categories please email info@thoughtbubblefestival.com. We cannot guarantee discounted tickets, but try to support full access to the show where possible.

Convention

What’s going on at the Thought Bubble convention?

The Thought Bubble convention is a massive two-day showcase of everything comics. Our convention is unique among its peers by putting comics, and the amazing people who make them, at the centre of everything we do. This year we have 100+ special guests, 400+ exhibitors, dozens of panels, workshops and other activities, as well as a big family area, cosplay and much, much more. Our full programme of events will be released in the months running up to the show, but you can see what guests are coming here (new announcements all the time!) and this year’s convention exhibitors here.

How do I get to the Thought Bubble convention?

You can come to Thought Bubble by train, bus, car, bike, or maybe even magic carpet ride. Check out the getting here page for more details.

Why have you moved to Harrogate?

Our heart is always going to be in Leeds and we’ve loved having our convention there for the past 11 years, but we’ve grown out of every space we’re able to occupy in the city. Our new convention venue at Harrogate Convention Centre has plenty of space to house the convention and - excitingly - so much more space for us to grow into over the coming years. We’re also not at the mercy of the weather at this new location, which is a blessing for a convention held in November!

However, apart from the convention moving to Harrogate, not much has changed for us and Leeds. The majority of our festival events are still taking place in the city (although we’re expanding more across Bradford and beyond as we become The Yorkshire Comic Art Festival!) and our base of operations is still here, so we really don’t feel like we’re leaving Leeds at all. Just expanding our home a bit!

Is there parking at the venue?

Yes, there is an underground car park at the venue and other parking areas throughout Harrogate. Check out the Harrogate Convention Centre website for more details about parking.

Can I get to the convention by train?

By train is probably the easiest way to get to the Thought Bubble convention from anywhere in the country, with 14 direct trains from London per day and regular trains from Leeds, York and all across Yorkshire. Check the National Rail website to plan your journey. Thought Bubble also has a special 25% discount for all passengers travelling to the convention on LNER trains. You can find out more and book your discounted ticket here.

What happens when I arrive at the convention? Where do I pick up my wristband?

Come to the main entrance (Entrance 4 on the map above) with the large pillars. On the door ticket sales and wristband collection are as you enter, just before the exhibition halls.

Where can I stay during the Thought Bubble convention?

Our hotel deals for the Thought Bubble convention have been arranged through the Harrogate Convention Centre and are suitable for a range of price points. Check out our hotels page to see all the available deals on convention hotels.

Do I have to bring cash or do exhibitors take card?

Some exhibitors will have card readers but the majority accept cash only. We won’t recommend an amount of cash to bring to the convention as everyone has different budgets, but it would be worth bringing what you want to spend in cash as not every exhibitor will take card, but all of them take cash.

Where are the cash machines?

There is a cash machine immediately outside the convention centre entrance, as well as many on the main streets around the venue and on the route from Harrogate train station. We are in the centre of Harrogate so there will be machines readily available.

Do I get a new wristband every day?

The wristband you get when you arrive at the convention will be the only one you receive for the show, however they are very sturdy and will last the whole weekend. Please do not remove it as we are unable to allow entry to people whose wristbands are broken off. It belongs on your wrist!

Is there wifi available?

There may be limited public wifi in Harrogate but please do not expect to have access to this in the convention centre. Thought Bubble does not provide wifi over the convention.

Can I check in coats or bags at the convention centre?

Unfortunately not; we only have cloakroom space for cosplayers at the Thought Bubble convention, so if you are bringing bags or coats to the convention please be prepared to carry them with you.

Is there food and drink at the Thought Bubble convention?

Yes, there will be a range of foods available at the show. We are also in the centre of Harrogate with lots of cafes & restaurants at a range of price points within the immediate vicinity of the convention. You are also welcome to bring your own food to the show, although please be considerate of the other attendees and exhibitors when eating or drinking on the show floor as there are obviously a lot of paper goods on display!

What hours is the Thought Bubble convention open?

The convention is open from 10am-6pm on Saturday 9th November and 10am-5pm on Sunday 10th November.

When will guests and panels be announced?

Guests are announced throughout the year, so make sure to check out the guests page regularly or follow us on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. We will make a few big programme announcements as we get closer to the festival, but our main festival and convention programmes will be released in the months before the show. Again, our social media is the best place to look for updates on panels and other convention events!

How can I find out when guests will be at the convention?

Most creators will be attending both days of the convention and will either have a table in one of the convention halls, or a slot at one of our signing tables. Guests with signing slots are marked with an asterisk (*) on the guests page and will be listed on the convention maps above with their signing times.

Can I get guests to sign my stuff?

If you want to know if a guest will be doing sketches, or if they charge for signings/sketches, it's usually best to check their social media or ask them directly. Guests who are attending for talks/panels only, and will not be signing/sketching at the event, are marked with a double asterisk (**)  on the guests page.

What should I expect in the panels at the Thought Bubble convention?

At Thought Bubble we have an exciting range of panel topics, from talks about the latest releases from special guests to masterclasses on writing, art and much more. This year we are also launching our new initiative for aspiring comic creators with an even bigger programme of educational and inspirational panels with your favourite creators. Our full convention events programme, including panels, will be available soon.

Can I take pictures and video?

Yes, but please ask permission before taking photographs and remember that cosplay does not equal consent. If someone asks you not to take photos of them or to delete photos that you have already taken, please respect them and do so. If you are making people uncomfortable then you will be asked to leave, so please be nice and respectful of other people. We want everyone to be able to have a good time.

Will others be taking pictures and video of me?

In most likelihood, yes. We hire our own official photographers to record the event, partly for marketing purposes but mainly because we’re a sentimental bunch and love having nice pictures to remember the show by. By attending the Thought Bubble convention you are agreeing to be photographed or videoed by our official photographers. We will only photograph or video children with signed consent from their parents. When being photographed by other attendees, you have the right to refuse to be photographed or filmed and to ask people to delete photos or videos that they have already taken of you. But as above, please be respectful when talking to other attendees. They may be over excited to see your amazing cosplay or may be taking photos of crowds and not have noticed you were in the shot. If in doubt please talk to one of our amazing redshirt volunteers and they will be happy to help you resolve any issues surrounding photography and consent.

Is the Thought Bubble convention wheelchair accessible?

All of our convention venues are wheelchair accessible. The main entrance into the convention halls is step free, and there is lift access between the two halls (there are about 6 steps down between the halls). The aisles between tables within the convention venues are all at least 6ft wide. There is lift access to the panel area and lift or step free access to all toilets, which have wheelchair accessible options at every location. Entrances and accessible toilets will be clearly marked on the convention map you will receive as you enter the convention.

Do you have baby changing and breastfeeding facilities?

Our accessible toilets (marked on the convention map you receive when you enter the convention) have baby changing facilities. You are welcome to use our quiet space - Bub’s Lounge - for breastfeeding.

The Thought Bubble convention can at times get busy and crowded, but if you are finding it overwhelming there are plenty of options available to you so you can take a break, recharge, and enjoy yourself!

  • Bub's Lounge, is our dedicated recharge space, run in partnership with Leeds Specialist Autism services. This is a quiet place on the convention site, so you can retreat there whenever you need to and there are volunteers on hand to assist you if you need them. If you would rather sit quietly and be alone for a while, then that is OK too.

  • Leeds Specialist Autism Services also have a table inside the exhibition halls and are very approachable and friendly!

  • Sunday morning is often a quieter time at the convention. If you would rather not be part of big crowds then this is a good time to come for more leisurely browsing time and smaller queues.

  • Red shirt volunteers are always here if you have issues at the convention.

Venue information for these locations is still TBC as we are in a new convention venue this year. Full convention maps will be released closer to the show, and you’ll also be given a copy of this map when you enter the convention.

I want to come to the Thought Bubble convention, but will I find it overwhelming?

What should I do if my family gets separated at the convention?

If you don’t already have a pre-arranged meeting space then all you need to do is find a redshirt volunteer or member of staff (the ones with the walkie-talkies!) and they will be able to help you find and reunite with your group.

What do I do if I lose or find something?

If you’ve lost something at the convention or found something that somebody else has lost, then please let one of our redshirt volunteers know and they’ll be able to assist you in finding it / take the lost item to our lost property. If you see any suspicious bags or other items on the convention floor then please notify a volunteer or member of staff immediately.

What do I do if I get hurt?

All you need to do is find a redshirt volunteer and they will be able to call first aid (our redshirts are really amazing!)

Yes, absolutely! Our redshirt volunteers are the best and friendliest group of people and regularly meet up outside of Thought Bubble. They’re a great group to join. Check out our volunteering page for more information or contact volunteering@thoughtbubblefestival.com to apply.

Can I volunteer at the Thought Bubble convention?

Festival

What’s the difference between the Thought Bubble festival and the Thought Bubble convention?

The Thought Bubble festival is a week-long programme of events from 4th-10th November 2019 that takes place across Yorkshire. These events are individually organised and individually ticketed (although most of them are free!). The convention is a ticketed two day event on Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th November at the Harrogate Convention Centre. Think of it as the crowning jewel / grande finale of the festival!

What’s going on at the Thought Bubble festival?

This year's Thought Bubble will be a week long festival of panels, workshops, screenings, exhibitions, academia, competitions, parties and general awesomeness, not to mention our massive two day convention on 9th & 10th November with over 500 exhibitors and special guests as well as a packed schedule of panels and talks. The full programme will be released closer to the festival.

Are the Thought Bubble festival events wheelchair accessible?

We try wherever possible to make all our events wheelchair accessible, however as many of our festival events are run by other organisations who arrange their own venues, this isn’t always possible to guarantee. We know this isn’t perfect and we apologise if this affects your visit to any of the Thought Bubble festival events. We’ll always mark on an event whether it is wheelchair accessible, but if in doubt please feel free to email us at info@thoughtbubblefestival.com. Our full accessibility policy can be found here.

Who do I talk to about running an event as part of the Thought Bubble festival?

We’re always excited to add more organisations and events to the Thought Bubble Festival fold! Please email info@thoughtbubblefestival.com with your event proposal.

Cosplay

When and where is the cosplay competition?

The cosplay masquerade is hosted on the Sunday (10th) of the convention. The masquerade takes place inside the convention but the specific venue is still TBC as we are in a new convention venue this year. Check out the convention programme when it is released for details about the cosplay masquerade, including location. Thanks to the amazing folks at UKCosplay for hosting the competition, and to Travelling Man for providing the prizes!

Do I have to enter the cosplay competition if I buy a cosplay ticket?

Nope! It would be great if you wanted to enter (who knows what you might win!?) but you’re under no obligation to. If you want to just attend the convention in cosplay then that’s fantastic too.

What are the judging criteria for the cosplay competition?

The full judging criteria will be available along with the cosplay masquerade event listing when the Thought Bubble convention programme is released before the show. Check the convention programme page or follow us on social media for updates.

Is there anywhere I can store my stuff while I cosplay?

Yes. Full details will be available on the cosplay page closer to the convention.

Is there a cosplay changing room?

Yes. Full details will be available on the cosplay page closer to the convention.

Do I have to wear a wristband when I’m cosplaying?

Yes. It has to be visible at all times and must be worn around your wrist. It cannot be attached to props instead. You only get one wristband at the convention and you must wear it at all times, otherwise you will be refused entry into convention venues.

Do you allow imitation weapons as part of cosplay outfits?

If you intend to bring a replica  weapon we require that it is entirely brightly coloured (as opposed to just having a bright orange safety tip). Anything with the size and shape of a real firearm could be considered a threat by the police and warrant a response, so this policy is in place so we can avoid this situation entirely. Please read the cosplay guidelines for more details and, if in doubt, leave your imitation weapons at home.

Is it ok that I didn’t make my own outfit?

Yes absolutely. Although some of the cosplay competition requires self-made costumes, in the convention itself you can wear store bought, home made, or any combination of the two. We appreciate your enthusiasm to cosplay over your dressmaking skills.

What is Friends of Thought Bubble?

Friends of Thought Bubble was created to help fund our regular outreach work, so your money goes towards this important work. Membership can be purchased for 1, 2 or 3 years. Find out more about Friends of Thought Bubble here.

How do I join Friends of Thought Bubble?

Thank you for your interest in joining Friends of Thought Bubble! You can buy your membership on the Tickets page.

I’d like to buy one of your sketching spotlight pieces. How do I do this?

Our sketching spotlight pieces are put up for auction after the convention each year to raise money for Barnardo’s children’s charity. You can find out about our sketching spotlight auction by following our social media and keeping an eye out after the convention in November. Follow us on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram.

How do I access the Thought Bubble and Rainbow Age library collections?

The Thought Bubble library collections are housed at Leeds Central Library & Bradford City Library. You’ll need a (free!) library card to be able to check books out which you can get here: (Leeds) (Bradford) Thanks again to all our amazing exhibitors for donating their work to the library collection, and to Travelling Man for donating books to the Rainbow Age collection for 4 years running!

I’d like to donate some books to your library collection. How do I do this?

Thank you for your generosity! That would be amazing. Please email info@thoughtbubblefestival.com and we’ll arrange this. Please also note that you can sign up with PLR to receive royalties on your books when they are checked out from libraries.

I’d like to donate some books to the Rainbow Age book collection. How do I do this?

Thank you! The Rainbow Age collection is a specialist collection of books that have LGBT+ themes and/or characters and serve as a repository for LGBT+ history and representation in comics. As above, please email info@thoughtbubblefestival.com if you’d like to donate a relevant book to the collection and we’ll arrange this. Please also note that you can sign up with PLR to receive royalties on your books when they are checked out from libraries.

I am an educator / librarian and would love to host a Thought Bubble workshop with my class / group. Who do I contact about this?

Please contact us at info@thoughtbubblefestival.com with details of your group and we’ll see if we can arrange a workshop for this year’s festival. We’re unable to guarantee this as it depends a lot on scheduling and how many other workshops we already have booked in, but we love doing these and they’re a core part of our mission as an organisation so we’ll do everything we can to facilitate it if you’re enthusiastic about hosting one.

I am a creator and am interested in attending a portfolio review. Who do I contact about this?

We regularly host portfolio reviews at Thought Bubble convention. To find out if there are portfolio reviews at this year’s show, keep an eye on our social media for announcements or our convention programme for an event listing. This will detail the arrangement for the portfolio review and what you need to do to secure a place.

I would like to attend &/or present a paper at Comics Forum. How do I do this?

You can buy your ticket to Comics Forum through their website or through the event listing on the festival programme. The theme for this year will be announced on the Comics Forum website so check back there for updates or follow them on social media (Twitter / Facebook). We’ll also do a call out on our social media when the call for papers is made.

Exhibiting

Who do I talk to about exhibiting at Thought Bubble?

Our exhibitor application period is open from 25th February - 10th March 2019. After this time it is not possible to apply to exhibit at Thought Bubble 2019. After this date you can sign up to our mailing list to be notified about the 2020 application period.

I want to sit with my friends, is this possible?

One of the things that makes Thought Bubble special is that we make a massive effort to make sure that exhibitors get to sit with friends and collaborators. While we can’t guarantee it in every case we will make every effort to place your table near your friends. To make this more likely please indicate on your application form who you would like to sit near and make sure that your friends do the same with you, so we know that you both definitely know each other.

I’m travelling in from elsewhere for the convention, where would you recommend staying?

This year we’ve teamed up with Reservation Highway to provide you with great deals across convention hotels. There are hotels available at a range of price points and we’d recommend booking your hotel in advance to avoid disappointment. Check out the hotels page for more information and to begin your booking.

I’m travelling from abroad to attend Thought Bubble. Where is the best airport to fly into?

At 12 miles (20 minutes) the closest airport to the Thought Bubble convention is Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA). British Airways run daily flights between LBA and Heathrow (1 hour), and there are regular flights from many connections worldwide, including Paris (1 hour 30 minutes), Amsterdam (1 hour 10 minutes), Dublin (1 hour).

To get from LBA to Harrogate, take the Airport Direct 747 bus which runs hourly and will drop you off at Harrogate’s main bus station, from there it’s a five minute walk to the Convention Centre. Alternatively a taxi will take about 20 minutes and cost around £25.

You can also fly intoManchester Airport (1h30 away by car, or 1h30 / 2h by train with a change at Leeds) orLondon Heathrow, then catch the direct train to Harrogate (by September 2019 there will be 14 daily direct trains between London and Harrogate)

Is there a loading area at the convention centre?

Yes. We will send out an email closer to the convention about loading permits for exhibitors who require them.

Where can I park during the convention?

We are thrilled to be able to offer free parking for exhibitors at the 2019 convention! Full details will be emailed to exhibitors closer to the convention.

Is there wifi in the convention centre?

There may be limited public wifi in Harrogate but please do not expect to have access to this in the convention centre. If you require wifi for card payments etc., the best bet would be to bring your own. Thought Bubble does not provide wifi over the convention.

I’d like to run or be part of a panel at Thought Bubble, who do I talk to about this?

If you have an idea for a panel at this year’s convention please email exhibitors@thoughtbubblefestival.com with your proposal. We cannot guarantee that your panel will be accepted and we cannot accept any proposals after 31st July 2019. We usually approach people directly to be part of our panels, however if you would like to be a panelist at this year’s convention please email us and we will take it into consideration.

I do not primarily make comics [I am an illustrator/ animator/graphic designer/printmaker/etc] can I come to Thought Bubble?

What makes Thought Bubble unique among comic conventions is our focus on comics and the people who make them. That might seem obvious, but at a lot of shows comic creators are relegated to Artist Alleys whilst pop culture, film and TV take the main stage. Our commitment to comics means we prioritise comics themselves over other art forms, even when they are related (eg: film, tv, prose books, illustration). You are welcome to apply to the Thought Bubble convention if you are not a comic creator or publisher, but please be aware that your application will be considered only after all the comics-related applications have been processed. This means you will have a much lower chance of being accepted than someone who does make comics. If you’d like to increase those chances, the best way is to take the jump into the wonderful world of comics creation! Or at the very least please show us how your work is comics-adjacent.

I am a retailer selling collectibles and memorabilia, can I come to Thought Bubble?

As mentioned above, at Thought Bubble we prioritise comics themselves over related art forms and pop culture in general. While collectibles and memorabilia are often born out of the comics sold at the convention, we like to keep these (plus back issue) retailer numbers to a minimum to maximise on space for comic creators and publishers. You are welcome to apply to Thought Bubble but please be aware that it is unlikely that you will be accepted to the show if you fall into one of these categories.

I didn’t get accepted for this year’s convention, what do I do?

We’re sorry that due to the very high number of applications that we receive every year, we cannot accept everyone who applies to exhibit at the Thought Bubble convention. Unfortunately we’re unable to provide individual feedback on unsuccessful applications, although some of the information in this FAQ may be helpful to you if your work falls outside of the comics work we prioritise. Often the number of applications we receive is just too large and we are unable to fit every talented exhibitor in. You are always welcome to apply again for Thought Bubble in future years - we never hold previous unsuccessful applications against anyone - and you can sign up to our mailing list to be notified about the 2020 application period. We look forward to welcoming you to a future Thought Bubble!

I'm an exhibitor but I'm not receiving any emails

Some email providers capture mailing list emails and mark them as spam or put them in weird folders, so in the first instance please check this hasn’t happened to you. If you are definitely not receiving any emails from us, please email exhibitors@thoughtbubblefestival.com and we’ll fix it.

General FAQ

What is Thought Bubble and who is it for?

Thought Bubble is the UK's largest comic art festival; a week long celebration of comics, illustration, animation and more. Whether you're a longtime fan of comic art or have never picked up a graphic novel before; Thought Bubble is for you! Thought Bubble is unique among comic festivals by keeping creators as its focus; the work and the people that inspire our cultural landscape. You won't find another event like us!

When is Thought Bubble?

The Thought Bubble festival runs from 4th - 10th November across Leeds, Bradford and beyond. The Thought Bubble convention is on the weekend of 9th & 10th November at the Harrogate Convention Centre, Harrogate.

Who organises Thought Bubble?

That’s us! We’re a tiny team of people who love comics and the people who make them, headed by our amazing leader Lisa Wood (aka the talented artist Tula Lotay).

Who sponsors Thought Bubble?

Over the years we’ve had some amazing sponsors, including longtime partners Travelling Man and our friends at comiXology. We also partner with a host of other organisations across comics, gaming, the creative arts and hospitality. If you’d be interested in sponsoring Thought Bubble you can find out all the information you need here.

What's going on at this year's Thought Bubble?

This year's Thought Bubble will be a week long festival of panels, workshops, screenings, exhibitions, academia, competitions, parties and general awesomeness, not to mention our massive two day convention on 9th & 10th November with over 500 exhibitors and special guests as well as a packed schedule of panels and talks. The full programme will be released closer to the festival.

I don’t know very much about comics. Where do I start?

There is no right place to start with comics- it’s wherever you find yourself drawn to and whatever books might take your interest! The span of genres in comic books is as large as in prose literature, and it goes far, far beyond the big titles and characters that make their way into mainstream media (although we love them too!). A good jumping off point might be to look at genres you’re already interested in and finding comics that fit that genre. Pop into your local friendly comic shop and ask the staff for their recommendations (Travelling Man are a great bunch and they have shops in Leeds, York, Manchester and Newcastle!) or check out our social media for some recommendations. We like to recommend books when we profile our guests so you will definitely find some gems through those that you can then bring along to the show for the guests to sign! And failing that, just come along to the Thought Bubble convention and see what catches your eye. There are hundreds and hundreds of talented creators there with thousands of comics to show you and among them there will be so many books that will capture your imagination!

Are the guests on the website now the only ones coming to Thought Bubble? Are the events listed the only ones happening?

Not by a long shot! We are constantly announcing more guests and adding more events to our festival and convention programmes. If you’re reading this a week before the festival starts, then we’re (probably!) done adding more exciting stuff, but any time before that and there could be more to come! Follow us on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram to keep up to date on announcements.

How can I attend Thought Bubble?

You can find tickets to our Thought Bubble convention here. Keep an eye on our programme for details about festival events and how to book. Many of our festival events are free, but others may require tickets or advanced booking. Events on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th  (as part of the Thought Bubble convention) are included in your convention ticket and will need a valid ticket to enter.

I'd love to volunteer with Thought Bubble; how can I do that?

Thought Bubble wouldn’t be possible without our intrepid team of volunteers who help things run smoothly, and we're a really close bunch.Check out our volunteering page for more information or contact volunteering@thoughtbubblefestival.com to apply.

How can I keep up to date with Thought Bubble?

For real-time updates you can follow us on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram.
