John Patrick Green

John Patrick Green lives and works in New York City where he makes books and comics about animals with human jobs, notably the smash-hit graphic novel series InvestiGators. He's worked as a comics consultant for Disney, Nickelodeon and Dreamworks. With over a million copies of InvestiGators - starring Mango and Brash the sewer-dwelling crime busters - in the wild, he also creates artwork for video games. He lives in a flat in Brooklyn that doesn't allow any pets, or animals, so he has to make do with the ones living in his imagination.

InvestiGators: High Rise Hi-Jinks was one of 2024’s most in demand World Book Day £1 books. As part of the World Book Day activities John took part in one of Waterstones’ largest ever virtual multi school events on World Book Day itself, reaching over 41,000 children in the UK and Ireland as well as schools in the United States, Uganda, Switzerland, Poland, Oman, Norway, Mauritius and Italy.

The InvestiGators series, which is a favourite amongst teachers and librarians as well as young readers, is also gaining recognition from judging panels. The seventh book in the series, All Tide Up, won its category in the inaugural Scholastic Graphic Novel Award. All Tide Up was also shortlisted for The Week Junior Book Award and Heist and Seek won the Spark! Book Award.

2025 sees the publication of Class Action, a third title in the off-shoot Agents of S.U.I.T. series Wild Ghost Chase and, in September, a special super-interactive solve-along puzzle book InvestiGators: Case Files packed with clues so that readers can solve the cases alongside Mango and Brash.

All special guests will appear at our comic convention on 15 & 16 November 2025
