Laurence Campbell
Laurence Campbell is a British artist who started his career working on Caliber Comics before attracting the attention of legendary publishers 2000AD. It was not long before he went on to work for Marvel Comics with contributions to titles like Punisher Max, Deadpool Pulp, Marvel Universe Vs Wolverine, Moon Knight, and Stephen King's The Dark Tower- The Way Station. From there, he landed his most notable work to date as a regular artist on B.P.R.D for Dark Horse Comics. The series, which spun out of Mike Mignola’s Hellboy, told the story of many characters that have been featured in big screen adaptations like Abe Sapein, Johann Krause, Liz Sherman and more. Campbell was honored with exclusive art duties for the series finale. The Devil You Know, which also marked the conclusion of Hellboy’s decades long universe and story. While the world may have come to an end, Laurence still continues to work for the Mignolaverse; most recently on the prequel series The Sword of Hyperborea with more work planned for the future.
In the creator owned realm, Laurence drew Old Haunts published by AWA and written by Olly Masters and has just completed The One Hand published at Image Comics. This series earned him a 2025 Eisner Award for Best Graphic Album Reprint. His unique old-school storytelling and composition along with a noir approach has given him a loyal following.
