Activist art doesn’t always look like protests and placards. Sometimes it’s storytelling and personal testimony, sometimes it’s education and raising awareness, and sometimes it’s imagining the worlds we want to see.

In this workshop, host Sarah Autumn will help you to explore the many ways comics and zines can be part of activist art, whether by amplifying unheard voices, finding new ways to connect to wider struggles, or planting the seeds of radical futures.

This is an all-ability workshop, an accessible, messy, and fun way to explore your own ideas. Expect discussion, simple creative exercises, and playful experiments, like quick-draw prompts, cut-up collage, and collaborative storytelling.
