This year we were thrilled to work on Tinta Plural / Plural Ink, a cross-cultural comics residency with Festival Entreviñetas, the comics and related arts festival based in Bogotá, Colombia. The residency, supported by the British Council’s Circular Culture Fund and Fundación Confiar, brought together UK comics artist and climate-campaigner Carys Boughton and Colombian comics artist Paula Carvajal. Their journeys spanned several regions of Colombia, focusing on sustainable publishing and environmentally conscious cultural practices. Together they co-created a bilingual guide-comic on ethical publishing, risograph printing, and sustainable approaches to organising comics festivals.
