Shelly Bond
Shelly Bond has been editing comic books for over three decades for publishers behemoth and boutique, including a twenty-two-year stint at DC Comics’ original Vertigo imprint, editing Si Spencer's Bodies, Grant Morrison’s The Invisibles, and the 15-year Eisner Award-winning run of Bill Willingham’s Fables among others. She also edited the multiple Eisner Award-winning series Bitter Root and the Eisner Award-nominated anthology Femme Magnifique: 50 Magnificent Women Who Changed The World.
She created the Filth & Grammar Trilogy, an unprecedented series of graphic memoirs chock-full of tips and tricks on making and editing comics. The books feature a coterie of talented artists including Imogen Mangle, Mark Buckingham, Laura Hole, and Lid Thom. Shelly teaches Comics Editing at Portland State University and via her website, filthandgrammar.com.
